Beauty

The birds sit on the water,
So calm, cool, clear, and quiet.
A beaver slaps his broad tail.
A squirrel leaps from tree to tree,
Collecting nuts for the winter.
I think it is now, in its true silence,
People realize the beauty of nature,
The trees that seem forever green,
The small rolling hills of the prairie,
The tall snow capped peaks of the Rockies,
The cool mist coming off the lakes,
The golden wheat fields that go on forever,
And the awesome northern lights.
These qualities combined,
Give Canada's nature its beauty.
