Mosaic
- In response to "From Colony to Nation" by Irving
Layton
A dull people,
I think not.
A boring people,
Says Irving Layton.
We are not boring or dull,
But we are a mosaic.
A people of many
Colors and shapes.
These coloured shapes alone,
Are nothing but meaningless blobs.
But as these blobs come together,
A beautiful picture is formed.
Now, instead of blobs of color,
We are different races.
As these races merge together,
A whole new country forms.
And if you think this mosaic in life,
is dull and boring
All I can say is,
I disagree.
