The Pebble and The Penny

Said the pebble to the penny,
"'Tis a lonely life,
Living on the street is full of strife."

Said the pebble to the penny,
"Some times they want to play,
But when they're done, I'm tossed away."

Said the pebble to the penny,
"They cry and hop,
When in their shoes, I end up."

Said the penny to the pebble,
"I know what you mean.
They only want me when I'm shiny and clean."

Said the penny to the pebble,
"They give me away every chance they get,
Except some times when they forget."

Said they pebble to the penny,
"Hey! Where're you goin'.
And whatcha you doin'."

Said the penny to the pebble,
"It's just my way,
Gone tomorrow, here today"
